The Salt Lick

When I lived in Dripping Springs, Texas we were really close to a famous bbq resturaunt that cooks with a big open flame pit. Sandra Bullock is a big fan and has been known to fly there just for lunch. I told Nathan all about it and how good it was and he wanted to try it. We read some reviews on the internet and it peeked his interest. Nathan was watching a cooking show on his lunch break one day and they went to the Salt Lick and then he was REALLY excited about it! It is a little over an hour from San Antonio, but ssooo worth it! Best sausage I've ever had in my life and their home-made bbq sauce is really different and so yummy!

On way home we took some very windy roads and Addison was sitting in the back row of the car. Yep, you guessed it. She got car sick! Poor baby. We pulled over and got her all cleaned up but didn't have any extra clothes with us. Moved her to the middle row where she normally sits. By this time it was about 3:30 and she had been awake all day. She was fussy because she didn't feel good and was tired. Even though Nathan was driving, he offered to hold her hand. She fell right to sleep. I saw this and teared up. I love that her daddy can make it all better and how peaceful she looked.
