Nathan left early this morning. It actually worked out well because Addison woke up right at 5:30 for her milk so Nathan was able to kiss her and I was alert enough to get several hugs and kisses in. Some mornings he goes to the gym and kisses me good-bye and comes home, gets ready for work and kisses me goodbye and I wake up never knowing he was out of bed! haha It's rare because Addison is usually up at least one of those times but some times I'm just too tired to notice.
Nathan will be gone for 6 days. Not super excited about this but it is what it is. He is going out of town for work. The hardest part is knowing he will be home for two nights and then turn around and leave again for 3 days for a guys trip. During the day I don't miss him that much because I'm used to him not being here. But at night, I start to get lonely around dinner time. It's so quiet after Addison goes to bed. I usually stay up later because I just don't like going to bed alone. The once dark, dark house is lit up outside to make sure people know WE ARE HOME! Titus seems to take on the leader role and is over-alert so it makes me nervous. He barks so much more or in the middle of the night at the slightest sound and so I'm constantly looking out the window or checking for stuff. I do love having him though. I've seen the look of terror people have given my dog and I've seen him chase after people. No clue if he would actually do anything to hurt them, but size alone should scare them. His bark is as big as he is when he feels threatened.
Usually when Nathan is gone I don't plan stuff for us to do. We just stay home and make the most of it. Since he will be gone for 9 days out of 11...we have a few things planned. I've tried to plan a little something each day to get us out of the house. As much as I'll miss Nathan, I honestly think I will be miss him the second most...first is a tie between Addison and Titus. Both Daddy's kids! :)
