Saying Goodbye & The Ride Home
I was so thankful to get to go to San Antonio for so many reasons...I love it there, the food, vacation, time with my family, the experience, etc. The main reason I am thankful I got to go was to spend time with my grandmother. I'm very close with my grandma here in town and Addison gets to spend a lot of time with her, but this was only the second time Addison has seen her and I only get to see her every few years. I wish I was closer with her and knew more about her. I really enjoyed talking to her and how much she loved Addison loving on her. Addison was shy the first day but after that she loved her MeMaw and hugged, kissed, and talked to her each day. Seeing them together meant a lot to me. I will always remember my grandmother's 80th birthday and I'm so thankful I got to be there. If there is one thing I've learned these past few years is the need to stay closer with family because you never know when you say good-bye, it might actually be goodbye. I pray that isn't the case here! But I couldn't help but think about it when I hugged my grandmother and of course the tears fell hard.

I'm glad you got this chance to spend time with your grandmother. Those are treasured moments. As to the nap photo---those are the best naps! Open mouthed, snort and wake yourself up kind....
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a great trip! I took a trip when I was 5 months pregnant with my second child, and it was back "home" to California. I cherish the memories from that trip, as I know you also cherish yours. What a gift!
