Titus turned 12 weeks old on Sunday. He will be 3 months old on Monday. For a Great Dane, he was on the smaller side when we brought him home. (Even though he was one of the largest in his litter.) But that is what happens when 14 puppies are born! They just start off smaller. At his 9 week check up, Titus weighed 16.4 pounds. Yesterday he weighed 32.2 pounds. That is almost double in three weeks! haha I'm so excited! I could tell that he has gotten bigger and he sure felt heavy when I had to lift him into the jeep, but I really didn't think he was that much bigger. I can't wait for him to be huge! When we are out and about people come up and ask to pet him and say, "Look at his big feet, What king of dog is he?" and I proudly respond, "He is a Blue, Great Dane." Most of them are shocked and say, "He is going to be huge!" and just as proud I say, "That's the plan!"
He has learned to sit this week. Next week is come and stay. (Hopefully! haha) Oh, and he has mastered "Watch Me". Which means he has to stare into my eyes for 30 seconds without looking away. The point of that is for like now I can say, "Titus, watch me." And when he looks at my face I can say "Sit." and give him the signal with it. Just one of those things you learn in puppy class that you can either use or not use. At first I thought there is no way this puppy would stare into my eyes for that long! haha Potty Training has been a breeze! At 12 weeks he can go all night long without going in his crate. He hasn't had an accident in weeks. I'm so thankful to his breeder for getting a head start for us.
(I don't have any great pictures of him in the last couple of days. It's been a busy week. But I will try and post some that we take this weekend!)
