Ok so I'm about to brag on my little one a minute.
Friday evening we were going to take Addison and Titus outside to play before bath time. We all went to the back door. I was putting on my shoes and Nathan looked down at Addison's bare feet and said, "Ok Addison you need some shoes. Where are your shoes?" And started looking. (We talk to her a lot about what we're doing or about to do.) Addison turned around looking at the floor and then started walking off. Nathan and I just looked at each other because we thought it was cute that she was looking. She walked out of the dinning room and went behind the couch in the living room. Pulled out a Purple Croc from her diaper bag and walked to Nathan and said, "Shh"! (trying to say shoe) We were so proud of our little girl! We praised her and clapped and it was obvious that she was proud of herself too.
Of course about two minutes after being outside Nathan asked me, "Are you working with her everyday?" I said, "I try to. Why does she seem behind?" and Nathan said, "No, she is obviously smart so we need to be working with her and embrace this!" haha And so next week I will be potty training, teaching her to read, and how to cook. :) Just kidding! But we are very proud that our little one year old is so smart! She is still such a baby to me, but then I see her with other babies that are so close in age and she just seems so much older. A lot of it is due to her head full of hair and how she towers above them. hehe I prayed everyday that I was pregnant that she would be smart, healthy, and strong. (along with other things from time to time but this was every day) God definitely was listening because Addison is super healthy, very strong and solid, and smart. So next time I will pray for a baby that naps! *wink*
