Night Feedings and Potty Training

Last time I blogged that things were going well, it turned bad. I've waited longer to tell you this time so maybe its safe. haha

The nights are getting easier. I let Weston sleep as much as wants in the first part of the day and then keep him up a lot more towards the end. He has been going to bed around 8. He usually gets up a couple of times a night and they aren't always the same. Two nights ago he went to sleep at 8:30 and woke up at 2am and went back down about 2:20, woke up at 3:50 nursed and then slept until 7:50. (Too bad Addison got up at 6:04!) Last night he went to bed at 8, woke up at 1:39 nursed and was back down by 2, slept until 6:30 and nursed and then woke up just before 8 again. I call that awesome!

Addison started potty training on Sunday. She has been doing awesome!! She doesn't tell me when she needs to go most of the time but she isn't having hardly any accidents either. The first day she started to have a pee accident and then finished on the potty. Since then she has only peed in the potty during the day! She has had a little trouble with the other. She knows when she has to go and we try on the potty but she gets scared and doesn't go, try again later and can't, and so on and so on. She has gone on the potty for that two days ago, but yesterday she had an accident in her pants. I've heard from several moms that #2 can be a lot harder and takes more time so I think she's doing ok. I've really been very proud of her! We wanted to do this before now but a lot of things got in the way like bedrest and a new baby so we decided to wait and I think that ended up being for the best. She turned two and half last month and she seems to fully understand what is going on and it's been easier than I thought. I put her straight in real panties instead of training ones. she got Fancy Nancy and Princess. When I showed her she grabbed the Fancy Nancy ones and said, "Oh Fancy Nancy I love you! Give me a smooch!" and then kissed the package! haha I've been reluctant to go places, but we went to a Christmas party and she stayed dry and yesterday we went to paint pottery and out to lunch and still didn't have accidents. Way to go Addison!!
