My Christmas Good Deed

When Addison was a baby, I came up with the idea that everyone in our family would do a Christmas good deed each December. I already did my Christmas good deed this year. About a week ago, I was contacted about a mother living here in Thomasville who had been breastfeeding. She had gotten sick for several days and her milk was drying up and she didn't have enough to feed her baby. I have stored extra milk in our freezer in the garage and said I wanted to help! I packed a grocery bag full of milk and took it to her work. She was so thankful! All the way there I was so excited. I just kept thanking God that now only do I have enough milk to feed my child, but I had extra to help a baby in need. When I was really sick and almost lost all my milk with Addison, I wish there had been someone to donate milk to me so I know how she felt. I love when giving a gift brings as much joy as receiving it! :)

Nathan wanted that to be counted as his good deed because he said he organized the milk in the freezer for me. haha But...I don't think that counts. I'm having a hard time deciding what Addison and Weston's good deed can be. One year Addison visited the nursing home of Great, Great Grandma Wolfe. And last year we used money to bless a family in need as a whole. I really don't want our good deeds to be about money most of the time. I think it means more to give a gift that takes more time and effort than to just hand out money sometimes. (not to say money isn't great! haha)
