Making our house a home

We finally have stuff on our walls! Not a lot, but anything is better than nothing. Our walls have been so bare. If you walked into our house last week, you wouldn't even know who lived here because there were no pictures of us anywhere. Yesterday I took some Sears gift cards that we had and bought picture frames. (Thank you Jesus for John Deere Points!) When we built the house we decided to furnish the inside of our house with all the furniture we wanted and then to put the fence up instead of decorations. The fence ended up costing twice what we have guessed so that put us back a little. I have so many dreams of what I want to do and how I want to decorate my house. Only problem is, I need money! haha I think some of you can understand where I'm coming from. The picture Nathan had framed for our room isn't done yet but I got to help pick out the frame. It's a 16 x 20 of one of our wedding portraits and it's going to look great! Decorations really aren't the type of thing people can buy you as gifts because it's all about personal taste. So probably about the time we are building our next house in a few years our house will be looking really cute! haha

  1. haha..I can totally understand. We have some pictures in frames on the our big t.v. stand/book case combo, but other then that and a few stray art pieces we picked up at IKEA, we have no wall decorations up. Mostly due to lack of money to get things that match, but also due to my lack of imagination and seeing where stuff should go. I need someone to just come do it for me..haha..:)
