A little privacy please!!

When you become a mother, there are things that you realize you took for granted. And not just the big things, it's the small things too. Like going to the bathroom....alone! Yesterday I had to pee. So I picked up Addison and took her to the bathroom and called Titus to follow. (still don't trust him alone.) And of course Bear had to follow. This cat cannot be left out of anything! So I'm trying to pee and Addison and Titus are standing in front of the tub. Bear jumps into the tub and Titus tries to jump in and get him. Instead he fell and knocked Addison down and ended up scratching her eye and I knew it hurt because she was holding her breath. (The longer she holds her breath, the louder the scream is going to be.) I popped Titus and yelled for him to get out. And picked Addison up. She cried for a few minutes, but she was fine. I know it wasn't really Titus' fault and I shouldn't have overreacted, but my baby was hurt. Needless to say, I didn't get to finish using the bathroom until later. haha So all of you who are without small children, when you go to the bathroom today alone in the middle of the day, just remember there are those of us who don't remember what that is like! :)

  1. haha..if they aren't in the bathroom with you, then they will stand outside the door going "Mommy, what ya doing?"...or Noah's "out!"..asking me to come out.

  2. Haha! I agree with Kayla. Soon, you will be like us and have knocking or see little fingers under the door while hollering "Mama!"

  4. Does having a husband who seems to be on the same pee schedule as you and only one bathroom count? Or the dog that sits at the door and whines and sticks his paws underneath while you are trying to take a relaxing bath?

Nah...didn't think it counted either :)
