My Thankfulness Blog

Last year I attempted to write each day to say something I was thankful for. I knew I wouldn't be on often enough to try that this time, but I do want to keep in the spirit of thankfulness.

My Husband - I have been thankful for Nathan since the very beginning. But lately I'm thankful for a few specific things. I am thankful for the husband he has been since Weston was born. It's a huge difference from when Addison was born. He has stepped up in all areas! He has been so helpful with Addison, the animals, the house, errands, etc. He tells me I'm beautiful and compliments my body even though I don't feel very pretty. When I've had moments of weakness he has come to me, wrapped his arms around me and says, "I'm so proud of the mother you are. You're doing a great job." It means more than he realizes and always makes me cry. I'm so thankful to have a man that works overtime at work and been on the road a lot and still comes home and immediately finds a way to be helpful!

Addison - My little girl is amazing and she has my heart completely. Lately I just hold back giggles as she rattles off some sentences that seem beyond her years. I love, love, love her full of life personality! She has a sweet heart and is sensitive like her mom. I'm so thankful that God chose me to be her mom and can't wait to watch her grow up!

Weston - God answered my prayers for a son! He's cuddly, cute, nurses, and naps. I'm so thankful for my precious boy! I'm thankful that for the most part he rides in the car well and that the older he gets the easier things become. I can't wait to watch him grow also!

A few other things I'm thankful for:
I'm thankful that even though I'm getting up several times during the night, that I now have Weston in his room for 80% of the night, he goes to bed earlier, and it is usually and hour or less until he goes to bed the first time instead of hours!

My husband is back to sleeping in our bed!

I'm thankful for my friends. Some I've been friends with for a while but others just recently. It took a while to feel connected after moving back but I'm finally feeling like we really belong.

Nathan's job. Pay cut and lots of traveling aside, we are so thankful that he has his job. We feel very blessed right now when so many people are looking for jobs, for Nathan to have one that he not only enjoys but is great at!

Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer. It's so yummy! :)

That Addison now loves going to school. It's a lot easier taking her when she is excited about it and comes home talking about her friends and saying she wants to go back.

Even though our house didn't sale, by working to keep it clean it allowed me to be better at keeping things in their place and loving a clean house.

My town. Even though it's small I really like living here. Close to plenty of bigger towns. Great community, family oriented, good school systems, and clean. But lately I have been so proud to be from here. We recently lost another soldier and seeing miles of streets lined with people waving flags brings tears to my eyes and makes me beam with pride!

Well...my list could go on and on, but I'm off to Addison's Thanksgiving dinner at school.
