First off, I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow! Isn't that wonderful?! I'm so thankful. Just 8 days away from my goal! After that I could use a little more time, but I really wouldn't mind either. I never felt an urgency with Addison, but this time I am over it. 20+ weeks of throwing up, a month of bed rest, heart burn for weeks, not being able to pick up my child for months, back pain...it's just time. haha
My appointment went so well yesterday. Baby Weston is laying in a great position so I pray he stays that way until birth. Heart rate was strong as always. (Once again proving that the "myths that guess gender" are exactly that; myths.) I was measuring good. So far I've gained almost 13.5 pounds. My midwife said from feeling him that she would estimate him being around 5.5-6 pounds right now so we are doing good. Another two weeks would help put some meat on his bones! Addison was 6.14 so I would kind of like him to be at least a tiny bit bigger.
Some of the best news I've heard is that I'm almost off bed rest! She put me on a trial bed rest for this week. I have to spend 3 hours a day lying down split up into about an hour each. Just 3 hours laying down...there was a time when 3 hours was all I was allowed to be up! I was super excited! Of course if I start feeling a lot of extra cramping or contractions then I have to go back to laying down. But on the 11th, I get taken off completely.
I'm trying to start talking myself into napping each day just in case I were to go into labor at bed time or in the middle of the night. Problem is, I'm not always ready between 12:30-1 but then by 3 I am wishing I took one. Addison loves it when I take naps with her so if I take a nap it's in her bed. Nathan tells me most nights, "I really hope you go into labor in the morning. Last time was a long night." haha (Yeah, I remember. I'll see what I can do. haha)
