6 Years!!

Tonight marks the anniversary of mine and Nathan's first date! I can't believe it! Part of me feels like he has been apart of my life forever and the other part feels like it has flown by. We sure have accomplished a lot in these 6 years. We dated, got engaged, moved off, got married, built a house, had a baby, and are about to welcome our second child into this world. It tickles me to think back to the beginning. I remember it so vividly. Young and in love, no cares in the world. We spent our days having fun. Did I know we would be living this life together after our first date, no. But it wasn't too long after that it became my dream. After Nathan graduated and moved home, it was hard to believe it would work out. Most people told me it would never last. I can understand why they thought that but it was hard to hear from so many and so often. Being long distance was hard, especially for me, but we made the most of it. And look at us now!

There are some things about us as a couple that have changed for sure. We certainly don't drink as much! haha We have a lot of more responsibilities and it's not always as fun. But for the most part, we are the same couple. Still smooching all the time, playful, and very much in love! Having a family means you have to really make your marriage a priority because your fun time and time alone is very limited. It would be easy to grow apart, but thankfully we are both in this for a life-time! I love my husband more than I could express. I love that we still have so much fun when it's just the two of us. He is an amazing man! At times he makes me want to pull my hair out, but he can turn around and make me laugh right after. Even though he isn't very good at coming up with romantic things, forgets the small stuff like buying cards or presents; he truly loves me. After 6 years, I can still see it in his eyes.

Here's to 60+ more baby!!

"Baby just look at us all this time and we're still in love
Something like this just don't exist
Between a backwoods boy and a fairy tale princess
People said it would never work out
Living our dreams has shattered all doubts
It feels good to prove 'em wrong
Living our love song"
