Little Artist

For her birthday, a friend gave Addison a gift card to go and paint pottery. I had done it before, but never allowed her to do it. She was very excited. Addison sat in her seat the whole time and painted. Using a different brush for both colors and taking her time. The owner told me, " I have a two year old grand daughter and I wouldn't dream of bringing her in her to paint. She would never be that good about it!" That made me feel good. To be honest, I was a little nervous but after how good she was, we will be going back one day after Weston comes!

We went to a birthday party for one of Addison's friends. The mother had a great idea for painting. She bought each of them their own little canvas and paint set with tons of brushes. Most of the children were done painting very quickly. Not Addison. She was so excited to paint and started at the same time as all the other kids, but she was the last one done. Not just the last one...but a good hour after everyone else. She probably painted for an hour and half until I finally made her stop because we had missed the rest of the party. I couldn't believe how much she loved it. She was very meticulous about where each dot went, using different brushes, using a variety of colors, etc.
