Addison's First Day of School

Peanut Gamble started school today!! :)

She was very excited about her new backpack, name tag, new cup, and going to school. She walked right in and showed her daddy the baby dolls and talked to the teachers. We were the first ones there and only a couple of kids were there when we went to leave. I had hoped to stay a little longer to make sure she was ok with the crying kids but Nathan needed to get to work. Just as we were about to go, a little boy came in and started crying. They had to pull him off his mom and he was a little loud. Addison looked at me and said, "Mom, don't go." haha I tried to reassure her and one of the teachers came over and started playing with the dolls with her. She was fine. When I picked her up, both teachers told me she did really good. Ms. Randy said she did cry a tiny bit when some of the "cryer kids" got loud but other than that she was as happy as could be.

In the car Addison started telling me all about school. First she told me, "Babies were crying. Babies were too loud and it scared me. I tell Ms. Carla I scared." hehe And then I asked her some questions and she told me they had cherries and pretzels for a snack, she played on the play ground, and they sang songs. She started singing me Row, Row, Row, your boat. It was cute because I had never sang that with her and she already knew it pretty well and was doing her hands like they taught her.

I was fine until we walked out of the class room and then I teared up. But I knew that I would! I was sad, but came home and got a lot done! It's amazing what you can do in a short time without constant interruptions! I'm really looking forward to this new phase. As much as I missed Addison, I think she is going to learn and grow so much and really have a great time! I can't wait to go on a few field trips with her class. :)

So excited about wearing her new back pack!

Showing off her new backpack.

She was in such a good mood this morning!
