My sister is 38 weeks preggo and so I am on watch constantly. When she goes into labor, she has blessed me by not only asking me to be there with her coaching her, but to also cut Hayden's cord! (Yes I know, I teared up when she asked me!) I'm so excited about his arrival and getting to hold and kiss him. I can't wait to witness the miracle of birth. I cry watching A Baby Story so I just know I this is going to be a million times better to watch my sister!
But the preplanner in me is going nuts. I keep praying God will whisper in my ear the day and time. haha I have some food and Addison's milk already at my grandma's house. I have her suitcase about 85% packed because somethings I need every day so I can't do that until the last minute. It would be so much easier if I knew when so that I could have all the arrangements made for her, but I guess God figures I can handle it because he hasn't told me yet. :) So for now I'm on Baby Watch and every time my phone rings I wonder if it's time and my heart skips a beat when I see it's Jess calling me and then I get on the phone and hear something like, "Jen, I'm watching Desperate Housewives and what happened to so and so..." and I say, "Oh Jessica!" haha
On a more serious note, I would like each of you who read my blog to say a prayer for Jessica as soon as you're done reading this. Pray that her labor and delivery goes smoothly without any complications. Please pray for the health of both Jessica and Hayden. And please pray for their future together and that God would bring them closer to his heart through all of this. Thank you so much!!
So jealous you get to see the birth. I didn't want my births video taped or anything, but I would LOVE to be in the room with someone. I'm hopeful that one day I may be able to witness a grandchild being born, but I'll take it anyway I can get it. :) Good luck to Jessica!

ReplyDeleteI so will be praying for her. I got everyone up here in the same shape as you are. If I call anyone, they are all wondering if it is "time." Can't wait to see pics of Hayden. I know he is going to be one loved little boy.
