A new kind of work-out plan

A few weeks ago I started going to the Y three times a week. I was really loving it! One of the other mommies in our mommy group was going at the same time I was and we would work out together. Which made it even better! Well...until further notice I am not going anymore. Twice Addison has come home with a stomach virus and the other week it was a runny nose. She is at hard age because EVERYTHING you hand her, she puts into her mouth! There are so many babies her age that come and go all day and it would be almost impossible not to spread germs. I'm so disappointed. This is the reason I didn't take her to begin with but I thought she would be ok. I realize that kids get sick. But it just isn't worth it to me. Nathan gets home after 6 every night and then we eat dinner. I would have to leave after 7 and miss her bath and going to bed every night. Plus, I know he doesn't want to have to put her to bed that much after a long day at work.

So...I am trying to get in a workout in any way that I can. I have my new stroller and I am going to start walking more. When I go to the store, I park far away so that I have to walk longer to get inside. I guess I'll throw in a few crunches all through out the day. You know...ten here, ten there. I can lift my 22 pound baby up and down slowly in the air to exercises my arms. Plus, I explained to Addison that mommy was sad she couldn't work out and she has been helping by dropping everything she can so that I will bend over and pick it up. She is so thoughtful! :) When it warms up a lot more I may try again, but for now me going to the gym will only be when Nathan can watch her. Which is totally rare.

  1. Why don't you get a workout DVD to use at home? It would entertain Addison, that's for sure!

  2. You are totally doing the right thing. Two stomach viruses in that short amount of time is horrible! Sounds like you are going to get creative. Good thing the weather is nice and warm in T'ville so you can get out.
