I don't even remember the last time I blogged. haha I kept putting it off because I felt like it was more of a job than a hobby or pleasure. I used to always try and post pictures and keep up with our daily life so when I got behind I felt like I couldn't blog about anything new without going back and catching every up.
Well I'm over it...
Time to start fresh! I figured that would be the only way I would start doing it again. I really feel like the past few months have flown by with Weston's birthday, Nathan's birthday, the holidays, and our "every-day life".
We received some great news on our adoption to start the year off right...

Nathan's job has kind of been up in the air with his company being bought, not being bought, being bought, and we THINK they are just going to stay GreenSouth for now but I almost hesitate to say that. Even without selling, his job titles look to be changing and there are some big meetings coming up so we are nervous/excited and hopeful for what those changes could end up meaning for Nathan! I really am so proud of him! He finished the Insanity program and I was so proud of him working out 6 days a week and eating healthy all the time. Then like me, he fell off track, but with the holidays being over he has gotten back into it. He has started the P90X program this time so it focuses a little more on muscle building than the other. We enjoyed a nice break where he wasn't gone as much but he is coming up on another busy season.
Addison is still our little "Peanut". Addison tried gymnastics from August to November. She liked it more than dance, but I was the one who asked her if she'd like to try something else. I just couldn't handle the program. Personally, I felt it was very unorganized, I wasn't happy with some of the teachers, and the atmosphere was too chaotic for me. We gave her several choices such as sports, dance again, art, or an instrument. She picked piano. We would still like to find an art class in the future. She started piano last week and is so excited! I hope this is something she wants to continue. Addison is doing great in school and really has become a lot more outgoing! She has always been a silly, fun, and expressive child at home but was very shy around people but recently she has come out of her shell a lot. She is a great big sister most of the time and it cracks me up to hear her explain things to Weston in her "mommy voice". She can't wait to go on an airplane to get her brother. Yesterday she killed a baby spider in the house with her shoe. This was a big deal...a small part because she was brave but mostly because she normally cries when I try to kill something and says that we need to set it free outside to be with it's family. I love her sweet heart. Addison has a great memory and is very smart! She is developing into such a beautiful young lady inside and out. Love her.
Weston has had his ups and downs this past year with his legs but I believe we are finally on the mend! He should be taking his cast off very soon. After a year of limping, I'm so ready to see him walk normally! He is still his daddy's "Buckaroo" and his mama's "Sugarboy or Bugaboo". He is doing really great at school, but from what I can gather they might have a class clown on their hands. If not now, in the future. He will do anything for laugh, even if he might get into trouble. He has the cutest speaking voice. Here recently though, he kind of talks in a deeper voice at times and it's so funny because he still says Me instead of I so to hear him say, "Me love you mama." or "Me not falling down mama." Reminds me of a muscle man. Speaking of Weston's communication skills...he has more than caught up! He started off slower than his peers, but now he talks all the time. I love to hear him say things like, "No Actually (Actshley), this (dis) not monster truck. Dis is only car." It's just the extra words like actually, already, again, and sentences like, "Me ate that for dinner last night!" that show me he is moving along and getting better and better. He has a great memory too! He still loves anything with a motor from tractors to motorized wheel chairs. I love watching him play make believe and pretending which dinosaurs are which family members and hearing actual dialog. I know I'm biased but this kid is adorable. Pretty much EVERYTHING he says, even if he is just asking for a cup of water, we think that it's cute. Love him.
I'm doing well. Pretty much just getting back to normal life. I felt like I could never keep up in November and December. I started working out again. I had fallen off that band wagon as well as stopped eating healthy for the past couple of months. Sadly, the weight I took off during the detox, I put back on. So I'm back to our "life style" diet of just trying to eat a lot better and working out again. I'm still sewing and loving making cute things for Addison. I'm working on my Spanish but took about a month off because I just didn't have the time with the holidays and the kids out of school. I always enjoy my lessons when I make time for them.
Well that about catches you up! But from now on I probably wont keep you all up to date on all our daily activities. It just gets too overwhelming the busier our life gets. Plus sometimes I just have random thoughts or things I read and want to share. I still plan to keep all of my blogs for my kids one day so I want this to me as much about me as it is about them. Hopefully I will do a better job of updating it!
Hope I still have a few readers! *smile* Oh...and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
