2 Pictures from my phone...and a few words from me.

Weston has been drinking out of a cup recently. I waited for a while to offer since breast milk is 80-85% water, I just nursed after meals. Now that he is eating 3 times a day and he is getting older, I started introducing water. At first he wasn't interested in the cup and finally I've found one he likes. This one with the straw. he wouldn't tilt his head back for the other ones. He now drinks about an ounce of water to wash it down. After that it's just a spitting game. :)

The other day Addison REALLY wanted to play in the rain. It's rain a good bit lately but this particular day she insisted she play in the rain. It was raining real hard and thundering so we told he she had to wait until it was safe. A very hopeful little girl was dressed in her rain boots and rain coat with her umbrella just waiting and waiting. We were informed that she didn't want to just play in the puddles, she wanted to play in the rain so her umbrella would get wet. She teared up each time she asked if it was going to stop raining before she could go out. I told Nathan if I had to dump buckets of water on her she would get to play under water and get her umbrella wet! Just broke our hearts. But we serve a God who shows us he loves us in small ways too and he heard her plea. We all went outside and she had a blast in the sprinkling rain and puddles! :)

  1. Logan was exactly the same way with cups - he only used the straw cups, because he couldn't figure out the tipping the head back thing! (and, if he tilted his head back, he couldn't see what was going on :) We used the straw ones for quite a while. But they are supposed to be better for proper mouth development, so Weston's preference is not a bad thing!
