Here is a picture of Weston that I took right before his doctor's appointment. It was the best I could do. He had just woken up from his nap and I brushed my hair and then he wanted the brush. Lately he has had a fascination with hair brushes that started on our plane ride. Well he wouldn't give it up. I kept trying to take his picture without it and he would get so upset. So here is William-Weston at 9 months...and his hair brush.
9 month check up:
Weight 20.13lbs - 55%
Height 30.5in - off the charts!
So he is tall and skinny. :) I looked back at Addison's 9 month check up and he is a full inch taller than she was, but a pound and a half lighter. She was in the 95% for both weight and height at 9 months.
He got two shots yesterday. The first one he didn't react at all. Just layed there looking at us like nothing happened. The nurses were shocked. Then the second one came and he cried immediately. haha Guess he figures he put up with it the first time and there is only so much a boy can take.
Good news!! His ears are doing so much better!! The right one is completely cleared and the left still had some clear fluid but when he blew on it it moved so he was very happy about that. I'm so thankful I have a doctor that isn't quick to give medications or push interventions!
What is Weston like at 9 months? ....
*He is on the move! Pulling up on anything and started to cruise on tables or couches if he sees something he wants. He gets into everything and keeps us busy all day!
*Weston swears the fake moss in the kitchen tree is a secret treasure that I just wont let him have. If unattended, he makes a mad dash to stuff as much of it in his mouth as possible. Second favorite is bathroom tissue. Have to keep the door closed at all times or he crawls in there, rips it into pieces and stuffs it in his mouth.
* He gives smooches when asked. So sweet!
* Waves bye-bye (only if he feels like it)
* When I ask him, "Weston can you clap?" he smiles and claps his hands. So cute!
* If you hand him a brush he brushes his hair. (This one surprises me, because I rarely brush his hair)
* "Weston can you shake?" and he shakes his head back and forth.
* He can now give fives. But I just taught him that so he does it gentle usually but we're working on it.
* He says dada and mama as of this morning! :) Both are babbling without recognition.
* Eats 2 or 3 times a day depending on what we're doing and if I offer it to him. Still eats anything he is given but mangoes continue to be his favorite.
* Naps 2 or 3 times a day depending on how long the morning nap is. He is napping in his crib now. He did this all on his own a couple weeks ago. I kept trying to lay with him like always and he just wanted to climb on me and play. So I told him he was going to his room. He just crawled around with his snuggle bear and pacifier and went to sleep. Been doing it ever since and it's really nice not moving the fan and monitor each day. Not always very long naps but some days are great.
* Nights are better overall, but still gets up once or twice between 8-7. The pacifier has helped.
* Tough little guy! Usually doesn't cry unless I react and even if he does cry it doesn't last long. He has been getting battle wounds from his adventures. He pulls up on things that he shouldn't or climbs. Also opens and shuts drawers.
* Weston thinks his sister is the greatest. Everything she does can make him laugh. I love it!
* Really started loving his daddy. When Nathan comes home he follows him all around the house. It's so cute when Nathan carries him around to do things like feed the dog, set up the sprinkler, check the mail. He just likes being with his daddy. :)
* He thinks No-No is a cool head shaking game. I try and stop him from getting stuff by clapping and saying no and he looks back at me, smiles and shakes his head and then takes off after it while shaking his head. haha It's cute for now... ;)
He is almost exactly the same size as Lucy is at 15 months old!!! How crazy.
