Nathan and I went to the beach this past week for a couple of days. It was wonderful but far too short. Which we did on purpose because we didn't want to be away from Addison very long. We stayed for two nights so that only left us with one full day at the beach but we made the most of it! We arrived in Destin at lunch time Tuesday so we ate lunch, did a little shopping, and checked into our hotel. It was right on the water which was really nice because although it's common at most places, it isn't really common in Destin. Wednesday was wonderful and peaceful. We got up and went to breakfast and then got ready for the beach. We spent almost the entire day there...Nathan under the umbrella and I in the sun. I read for a good bit of the time which I realized I have missed and hope to make more time for it in the future. The water was gorgeous and the sand is so light and fluffy. I don't like when you go to to a beach with crushed up shells every where and I never saw any here. During the days at the beach I was fine and didn't feel sick. Each evening I started getting sick before dinner so that wasn't very fun but at least I had some sick-free time. Overall, it was a real nice time for us! I came back a shade or two darker and if you looked at Nathan you wouldn't know he even went. But for him, it's either that or burn! I'm just thankful that he truly enjoys going even if he doesn't like to exposed to the to sun.
Honestly, I LOVE the beach!!! And a lot of people say that I know, but I mean if given the chance I would pack my family and move to the beach in a heart beat. Wouldn't give it a second thought probably. haha I just love everything about being at the beach and I feel like a happier me. Can't wait to go back! :)
