Addison's Birthday Present from her parents...

It has taken weeks for us to decide what to get Addison for her birthday. The only thing I cared anything about getting her was a play set. And of course I don't want just any play set. With us trying to sell our house it doesn't make any sense to buy one until we get in our new house because it will be too big to move and we wouldn't want to leave it here. Other than that, I couldn't think of something special to give her. We already had to buy her clothes because she is entering into 3T now and figured most people would buy her smaller toys. But we finally decided what to do! We are started Addison's college fund. :) We set it up tonight and it's all ready for her to start saving. Also, we are going to spend a fun afternoon with her on May the 4th. Nathan is taking the day off work and we will be going to Tallahassee to eat pizza at the Red Elephant for lunch and then going to see a movie! I can't wait to see Peanut sitting there eating her popcorn and watching her very first movie. It's going to be so cute!!

If any family is reading this and would like to donate into her account for her birthday, you can open this link.

It is a piece of paper you can print out and fill in the blanks and put in her card. We will be putting any money she receives into her account even if it doesn't have this neat slip. The site has plenty of these different slips for all occasions. My parents weren't able to do this for me and it means a lot to me that I am able to do this for my child!

  1. Smart parents you are. There aren't many people who can plan that far ahead. My great-grandfather set up an account when each of his great grandchildren were born. It has paid all our way through college,it was great! My grandmother (who is now over the college account) did the same thing for my nephew when he was born. We know she will probably do the same for our children, but Josh and I decided a few years ago that we would set up an account for each of our children anyway. If college does get paid for my the grandparents funds than at least they will have other money to help!
