Addison is having her first play date without mommy! I picked them up form school and then we ate lunch with friends. After lunch, Addison went to her friend Brooklyn's house to play with her and Elle who was also going over to play. I was a little nervous because this is a big deal and she was little nervous too. I was worried that she wouldn't do well but I just checked in and so far so good. :)
She told me when I was saying goodbye that she would miss me and be a little scared but that she wanted to go and she was excited to play with her friends. One thing I didn't expect...Weston was NOT happy with me. He acted like I was just leaving and forgetting her when we drove off and kept crying and asking for her. I kept explaining that she went to Mrs. Amy's house and he kept repeating, "Son! Amy! Son! Amy!" and pointing to her empty seat where Addison's car seat goes and cried some more. I thought he would be fine once we got home but he kept melting down. It was probably some of the more dramatic scenes he's displayed. So I just put him down for a nap because it wasn't getting any better. We will be picking her up after his nap so I know he will be excited!
Just another sign that my precious girl is growing up!
