Nathan and I call it our "lifestyle diet". We are trying to eat a lot better than we used to, taking more vitamins, and exercising more regularly. We've cut a lot of of our diet and added a lot of things we weren't used to. It all started about two months ago. The more I learned about the toxins and junk we were eating and how it can affect your health, the more I've wanted to change. I'm still amazed when I fix food for Nathan and he eats his kale chips, swish chard, fish, etc without a single complaint. If you knew him well, you knew these were not things he ate. Like I've said this is a lifestyle diet so we aren't cutting all junk out completely because we are in this for the long haul. To make it to where 85-90 is the healthy and the rest is the junk instead of the other way around. It wasn't about dieting, it was just about living healthier.
For me though, I also wanted to loose some lingering weight that has been hanging around for a few years since having babies. I was discouraged because even though I had more energy and felt better I wasn't looking better... then I started to look better but that scaled didn't move. I know, I know... muscle weighs more than fat, it's about how you look and not the exact number. I don't care. haha I still want that scale to go down some. It finally did! That glorious day when it moved down past what I have weighed since after having Addison! I was so excited and it gave me the encouragement that I needed because I've been jogging, walking, doing toning, etc and just wanted to see it move. I don't expect to weigh what I did on my wedding day because your body does change as you get older and have children. But I do want to loose a few more pounds and tone what I have.
So here's to short term and long term goals! :)
