Weston turned one...a few weeks ago...

I never wrote a blog to describe what Weston is like at 1! I realized I need to do it before I forget!

His one year old check up:
Height was 33inches (like a centimeter or so off the chart of his age)
Weight 23.2 oz (60% for age)

What is Weston like at one...

*He has started walking! His first steps were at the beach, but he really didn't start walking until the day of his party. I guess he wanted to show he was a big boy!
*He can't say many words. At one the only things he said were mama, dada and dog. But dog hasn't been said in weeks and I almost never hear mama. Dada is said ALL day long! He sees Nathan and points and says Dada but has never pointed at me or acknowledged that my name is mama. Now a couple weeks later is he trying to say a few things...like down is Da and Bath and Ball are both Ba. He just isn't really interested in talking. He signs for more when he wants something to eat or drink but doesn't make a sound so that scared me off of sign language. We aren't worried though, boys are usually slower to speak and his doctor said not only are boys slower, but second children are slower also. He has been trying a tiny bit in the last couple of weeks and we can tell he understand a lot. Besides...his dinosaur roar is getting better each day...what more could a boy need?? :)
*LOVES things with wheels and especially tractors!
*I still get cuddle time int he middle of the night. ;)
*Nursing anywhere from 5-7 times in 24 hours, but not always for very long.
*Eating more and more table food and just a little baby good that I throw in at times.
*This little guy is a climber! He has pushed his riding toy to the couch and climbed on top of the couch, climbs up the side of Addison's bed, and has climbed onto her desk chair and stands up. It's cute and funny, but scary because even if he is playing in his or his sister's room with only safe toys, I have to worry about watching him all the time because I don't want him to get hurt. But when he has climbed on something and I peek in and say, "Excuse me sir, what are you doing?" he just laughs at me!
*He really likes his ride on toys and pushing cars around.
*Weston loves to play outside.
*Still naps twice. The morning one is 45mins- 1 hour 15 minutes usually. And the afternoon is an hour to an hour and a half most days and sometimes a little longer. He really can't skip that morning nap yet.
*Snuggle Bear is still very loved and when you hand him SB for the first time, he always bits his face or arm. (Not sure why but Addison used to bite B too)
*Still takes a pacifier. At home it's pretty much just when he is asleep or has hurt himself. When we are out and about he has it a little more and when we take him to the nursery at church he keeps it in the whole time pretty much.
*When you put him in his car seat he expects you to hand him a book.
*Loves to jump and tackle mommy and daddy!

Well that is my little man at just one year old. He is still pretty much the happiest little guy all the time. William-Weston is such a blessing to our lives and I adore that little guy more than words can say!
