Today I had the day alone with Weston. Titus went with Nathan to work and Addison had school and then went to my grandmother's house for the afternoon. My grandmother offered to give me some time to rest. Isn't she sweet?! I think I teared up the day she offered. :) It's been really nice I didn't rest quite as much as I should because I kept thinking "Oh I should take a shower...oh I could do some laundy...the dishes need to be done. etc." haha But I did take an hour nap this afternoon. I would have slept longer but someone kept calling my house. (My house phone doesn't ring all day because we don't use it, but if we get a call, it's always during nap time! Oh well.)
I'm so thankful for my grandmother! She was a HUGE help when I was on bed rest. She came during the week and helped with Addison, fixed meals, did laundry, did the dishes, and kept me entertained. She also kept Addison for a few days when Weston was born so I could have time to recover. I never have to worry when Addison is with them. I know she is safe and being taken care of the way that I would want. Sometimes it can be hard when other people watch your kids because they don't do things the way you want, but they follow our rules right down to what she eats. They have a bed for her, high chair, toys, etc. And with papa there, she always has a play-mate. *wink*
When my littles were newborns and I wanted to nap, I ended up just having to unplug my home phone...its worth it to get a good nap in. Glad you had a restful productive day. (If those words can go together..:) )
