IT'S A BOY!!! We had an ultrasound last Tuesday...you know, the day I blogged about wanting to know so badly if it was a boy or a girl. :) hehe I basically had this planned since I was pregnant and wasn't sure if I could pull it off when my appointments got off schedule, but I did. At Addison's party we announced it to all of our family and friends that were there. It was a nice surprise and I was glad to finally stop keeping it a secret because I had been lying to so many people about not knowing or not having an ultrasound scheduled. All in the spirit of fun of course.
His name will be... William-Weston Blaine Gamble. And we will call him "Weston".
The reasons behind his long and strong name... First, Weston is just an uncommon name that Nathan and I have liked and had picked out since before we got married. Blaine is Nathan's middle name, his dad's middle name, and was his grandfather's middle name and great grandfather's middle name. So Weston will be a 5th generation Blaine. William was my mother's father's name who passed away when I was younger. Before we had kids we said if we had two boys we would name them Weston Blaine and William "Wyatt". But because we had a girl and don't plan to get pregnant again, this might be our only chance to use both William and Blaine.
We are so VERY excited!! Deep down, I really wanted a boy. There were some things I was beginning to want or would miss about not having a girl, like the super cute baby clothes. I have been a little sad just because I felt like if I had another girl I would really have to share Addison but if I had a boy I could love him in a totally different way. I love seeing Nathan with a daughter and in my opinion it's sweeter than with a boy. But I can't wait to see him calling Weston "son", buy him little cowboy boots like his dad, and see Nathan teach him to play tball. I babysat two little boys very close in age for several years and they were so much fun. I can't wait to do all kinds of little boys things with my own son!
