My sister gave birth to a little boy. Hayden was born on Monday the 8th, at exactly 5:00pm weighing 8pounds 7oz and 20.5 inches long. Jessica did a great job and I am so proud of her. Hayden is only 4 days old and I already love him so much. I didn't think I could love a baby that wasn't my own as much as this. Being able to witness his birth was absolutely amazing! It was hard to see my sister in so much pain because I love her so much and just wanted to get up on the bed and do it for her! (I really would've if I could've.) I think by witnessing Hayden coming into this world it has given me a special bond with him that will always be there. From the beginning I was there cheering Jessica on and encouraging. A nurse commented that she had never seen someone be as wonderful as me...wow compliment! But really it was a honor for me to be there and the moment Hayden was born tears of joy filled my eyes and my heart grew bigger. I would love to be able to witness more births if the opportunity ever arises because it was awesome!!
When she first arrived at the hospital...

After trying to cope with the pain for a while she opted for an epidural. Apparently these things are amazing because she was napping during contractions. Almost made me want one if I didn't know better! haha

Jessica in the early stages of pushing Hayden out...

Hayden just out! This is right before he started crying.

Me getting to cut the cord...to the far left. My mom didn't get a good shot.

Meeting her son for the very first time.

A mother's love grows instantly when she meets her child. Such a special moment.

Me and my little man!

Getting cleaned off.

Isn't he cute?! Such a little chunk! :)

I love this one. Such a precious little face!

Sleeping in his mommy's arms.

Hayden is already such a great baby. He barely cries at all, is nursing pretty well, and sleeping so much better than Addison did. I'm so thankful he has come into our lives. I'm so excited that he lives so close and I get to watch him grow up.
Welcome to the world Baby Hayden!!!
What a beatiful baby! I know that your sister was happy to have your support. Great pictures! I love the 4th one from the bottom.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see some pictures of this amazing day. I can not believe we had our babies the same day and Hayden was exactly 1 pound more. Ouch......Gooooo Jess! Congrats to all of you. He is one blessed baby with such love surrounding him. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteJenn, thanks for sharing these awesome pics! Beck and I were just looking at them, and she observed how awesome it is that Jess has such a supportive family around her! What a blessing! Not all new Moms have such love around. She looks amazing, and I love the pic of her kissing her new son's head! Babies are such a sign of God's love and blessing to us! Welcome Hayden, and may you grow in the grace of God!
