Slowing down but getting ahead

I have been out of town almost this whole summer. Constantly going and on the go. And while I had fun, I'm glad it's over too. For weeks I felt like I was spending days getting ready to leave and then days getting things back in order. Mountains of laundry always await when I came home, along with tons of errands, house cleaning, and restocking the fridge and pantry. And then all to turn and do it again, and again, and again. I'm so happy to be home. I haven't slept in anything that is near as comfortable as my bed. Why is that always the case? Something about your own bed that makes it so much better! I'm home again! My house is almost spotless, I have one load minus the bedsheets, and enough meals to last until the end of the week. I feel like I'm getting caught up and it feels so good! Unfortunately, we have to leave town next weekend for two days, but after that we don't have anything planned until November. I have felt like I've been rushing around for a long time but somehow no matter how fast I was going, only getting further behind. The summer is always a busy time for us. Once it gets cold, we become hermits! During the spring summer and fall we are outside several evenings a week playing and do all kinds of stuff. During the winter we only leave town for work and holidays and we rarely go outside. I love Christmas, hot chocolate, bon fires, hot tubs, and New years...and that's it. As far as I'm concerned I could do all that in a couple of days and it could be warm the rest of the time! haha But at least I know that things are going to slow way down so I wont have to do this too much longer. I love traveling but I have beyond over with the whole packing and unpacking thing! :)

  1. ugh, I know that feeling. Last summer we were NEVER home! Traveling for Josh's football and then we went to N.C. for Josh's work several times. Then family vacations. I was beginning to wonder why we were paying for rent, because we were never home. Christmas time is another busy time for us. School coming to a close, our anniversary, and then Christmas party’s then at least one family has a trip to the mountains, etc...
Not much you can do but just enjoy the adventures of life :)
