So yesterday was my first day sewing...
Day One's Observations:
I have not unlocked any hidden talents or rediscovered my calling in life.
I attempted some really cute boutique style pants with ruffles for Addison. Things started off really well but then I messed up on the ruffles. :( I think it can all be fixed but I only had enough fabric to make them right the first time, so I have to wait a few days before I can get back to the store to get some more.
I'm thankful for a patient friend that has offered to help me! Hopefully this weekend I will have my finished project! Wish the fabric store wasn't so far away because I am ready to "get back on the horse" and try again!
So while I was discouraged last night, and tossed and turned because I was dreaming about fixing it for hours...I do think this could be a lot of fun once I get the hang of it.
Just keep trying! I'm no expert by any means, but it has definitely gotten easier over the years!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how many projects I have ditched because I messed something up. But You learn and grow as you go. Just keep trying! I have had many sleepless nights because of a sewing project! I am going to try to make matching dresses for the girls for Thanksgiving and maybe Christmas, we shall see how this goes!!
