Started a bad habit.

Addison Grace started sleeping through the night at 9 weeks old. It was such a blessing. There have been times when she hasn't, including the whole month of October, but for the most part she has been a great night time sleeper. However, during the day it has been terrible! She can stay up for hours without ever even acting tired. And the times when she does nap, they are so short. For a while she was on a consistent schedule of three thirty minute naps a day. And then that turned to two. I have read several books and spent hours researching on the Internet for help. All I could find was how to get your baby to sleep, but not how to get her to STAY asleep! Finally after enough reading I have come to the conclusion that I just have an active baby who doesn't need that much sleep. Aren't I blessed? :)
The other day I was so tired from a long night of Addison waking up and it was time for her to nap so I decided to pull her into my bed and try and sleep with her. She fell asleep without any crying at all and just settled right into a deep sleep. She slept for almost two hours!!! I was so amazed. Since then I have tried it a couple of times and each time she sleeps for at least an hour. Now I don't know what to do. I obviously can't leave her if she falls asleep on my bed. And I don't want her to get used to sleeping with me. But when she went from hardly sleeping to taking long naps...it makes it so tempting!

  2. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it being a bad habit as long as it doesn't affect her night sleeping. So, she takes a nap on your bed--there are many, many worse things out there. I would enjoy the longer naps if I were you. :) By the way, I just love those thighs! She and Noah are definitely related!
